About The Position
Summit Healthcare Staffing is seeking a pediatrician for a long-term care facility. This role involves providing care for medically fragile children in a 122-bed facility. The pediatrician will collaborate closely with nurse practitioners and registered nurses across four units, supporting ongoing assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination for pediatric residents with complex health needs. The position emphasizes continuity, quality, and compassion in daily care within a collaborative clinical environment.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Active state medical license in good standing.
- Board certification or board eligibility in pediatrics.
- Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients in long-term care settings.
- Experience collaborating with nurse practitioners, nurses, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
- Experience communicating with families, caregivers, and clinical staff in long-term pediatric care.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- 3 years of experience working with critically ill children is a plus.
