About The Position

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a Board Eligible/Certified Pediatrician to join an established team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in Utica, New York. This is a full-time, employed position at the Children's Health Center, focusing on traditional outpatient practice with 35 patient contact hours and 5 hours of administrative time per week. MVHS is committed to supporting its medical staff to deliver premier healthcare with a patient-centered approach.

Requirements

Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) and successful completion of a residency and internship.
Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
