The St. Luke's Pediatrician will provide high quality, cost effective medical care. This individual will also participate in quality, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives. The role involves performing history and physical examinations, providing consultations, and rounding on patients. The pediatrician will deliver care based on evidence-based medicine, adhere to approved practice guidelines, and demonstrate competency in age-appropriate care. Effective communication with referring physicians, patients, and families is essential, as is participation in patient and family education and regular practice group meetings. Maintaining up-to-date medical records, submitting timely billing information, and supervising Advanced Practitioners are also key responsibilities. The position requires attending continuing medical education to maintain licensure and developing effective working relationships within the hospital and St. Luke’s University Health Network. Maintaining confidentiality, complying with safety policies, and demonstrating Service Excellence Standards are expected. Performance Improvement in clinical care, customer service, operational systems, and safety, along with financial responsibility, are integral to the role. Compliance with attendance and dress code policies is also required.
