About The Position

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Pediatrician to join the 6-member department at Richmond Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to provide services to the birth centre, NICU, inpatient service, and emergency department. Richmond Hospital is a community academic teaching hospital with over 225 beds, serving more than 50,000 emergency room patients annually. It features seven acute operating rooms, a minor procedure room, a busy rehab clinic, and an ambulatory procedure centre. The hospital benefits from a collegial and supportive medical community with strong inter-departmental relationships and excellent connections with community family physicians and specialists. Due to its proximity to the Vancouver airport, it also serves traveling visitors. Richmond, a growing and diverse municipality, is undergoing a campus-wide expansion and renewal at Richmond Hospital, including plans for a new acute care tower with modernized design principles, increased inpatient beds, enhanced perioperative services, medical imaging, and emergency services, with a target completion of 2028. Requirements

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Full
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
