About The Position

This role involves providing clinical services at DePaul Pediatrics and inpatient services as requested by the Chair. The Pediatrician will supervise nurses and other personnel, manage patient medical treatments, and maintain necessary documentation. Responsibilities also include offering on-call coverage, engaging in scholarly activity, and supervising/teaching residents, students, and other trainees. Participation in quality improvement and safety initiatives, along with other administrative and clinical duties assigned by the Chair, are also part of this position.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
• Valid medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in supervising medical personnel
• Proficiency in maintaining patient documentation
• Ability to provide on-call coverage
• Experience in scholarly activity
• Experience in teaching and supervising trainees
• Knowledge of quality improvement and safety initiatives

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a pediatric clinic setting
• Experience in inpatient pediatric care
• Familiarity with specific hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services at DePaul Pediatrics and inpatient services as requested by Chair

• Propose equipment need and modernization
• Sustain necessary and appropriate documentation for all services provided in compliance with regulatory and hospital policies

• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
• Other administrative and clinical duties as assigned by the Chair
