About The Position
Seeking an individual to expand the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics and the Division of Spine Surgery at University Orthopedics. This role includes clinical practice, teaching residents and medical students, and research. An academic appointment at the Warren Alpert Medical School, potentially at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, is available. Leadership and mentoring skills will be encouraged for participation in residency and fellowship leadership.
Requirements
- Fellowship-trained in pediatric orthopedics
- Interest in General Pediatric Orthopedics and Spine Surgery, Pediatric and Adult
Nice To Haves
- Subspecialty in spine surgery in both Pediatric and Adult deformity
Responsibilities
- Involvement in Clinical Practice
- Teaching residents in the Brown Orthopedic Residency
- Teaching Medical Students from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
- Research through the Orthopedic research Lab or Clinical Research Coordinator
- Provide general pediatric orthopedic care at Hasbro Children’s Hospital
- Multidisciplinary clinical care
- Trauma coverage at our Level 1 Trauma Center
