About The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist I provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This position evaluates and implements a plan of care for the provision of comprehensive speech and language services for individuals exhibiting dysfunction in the areas of speech and/or language.
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Speech Therapy
- 1 year Speech Therapy
- Speech Pathologist (SPE) - State Licensing Board
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - ASHA (American Speech-Lanuage-Hearing Association)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient function with consideration of age-appropriate needs.
- Develop a treatment plan.
- Perform treatment techniques.
- Effective participation in team process.
- Integrate performance improvement process in daily assignments.
- Implement teaching strategies.
- Participate to provide a safe, comfortable, organized and clean department.
