About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist I provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This position evaluates and implements a plan of care for the provision of comprehensive speech and language services for individuals exhibiting dysfunction in the areas of speech and/or language.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • Speech Therapy
  • 1 year Speech Therapy
  • Speech Pathologist (SPE) - State Licensing Board
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - ASHA (American Speech-Lanuage-Hearing Association)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient function with consideration of age-appropriate needs.
  • Develop a treatment plan.
  • Perform treatment techniques.
  • Effective participation in team process.
  • Integrate performance improvement process in daily assignments.
  • Implement teaching strategies.
  • Participate to provide a safe, comfortable, organized and clean department.
