About The Position

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a part-time Pediatric Registered Nurse in our PACU / Same Day Surgery Department. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. This part-time position will work 10-hour shifts and 60 hours bi-weekly.

Requirements

BSN degree or in process
Ohio RN License
One year experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or obtained within one year of hire

Responsibilities

Participate in daily planning via patient rounds.
Work as part of the interdisciplinary team for the plan of care for our patients.
Provide nursing care to pediatric patients within the recovery room.
Perform assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe after surgery.
Provide leadership through activities such as preceptor role and quality improvement efforts.
