Pediatric RN/LPN – 1:1 Care to Attend School with Child
About The Position
Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring an RN or LPN to provide one-to-one nursing care for a pediatric patient in Carpentersville, Illinois. The nurse’s primary role is to attend school with the child and support safe participation in the school day while providing the nursing care the child needs. When school is not in session or the child needs to stay home, care is provided in the family’s home. This is a consistent weekday case with one patient, a long-term assignment, paid hands-on training, and 24/7 clinical support. The schedule is described as Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends. The posting gives two different schedule descriptions: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM in the heading and 7:00 AM–4:30 PM under “Your Schedule.”
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- A dependable and compassionate approach to care.
- Comfort working one-on-one with a pediatric patient.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care according to the patient’s individualized care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor the patient’s condition throughout the shift.
- Communicate with the family, school staff, and Castor clinical team.
- Complete required nursing documentation.
- Provide compassionate and dependable one-to-one pediatric care.
- Attend school with the patient and provide care in the child’s home when needed.
