About The Position

Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Per Diem Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated, one-on-one care for a medically fragile 6-month-old baby girl in Andover, NJ. The infant requires ongoing respiratory and nutritional support due to conditions such as ultra short bowel syndrome, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and pulmonary hypertension. The role involves managing G-tube feeds, catheterizations, and administering medications, ensuring the infant's comfort, safety, and well-being at home. This position offers flexible per diem shifts and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the child's life and her family.

Requirements

Active New Jersey RN license
Current BLS certification
Authorized to work in the United States
Physical completed within the past 12 months
Current PPD or QuantiFERON within the past 12 months (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
Proof of MMR immunization within the past 10 years
Proof of influenza vaccination or approved medical exemption

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of pediatric or NICU experience
Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in the home
Monitor respiratory status, comfort, and safety throughout the shift
Manage G-tube feedings and nutritional support
Perform catheterizations as ordered
Support pulmonary care needs related to BPD and pulmonary hypertension
Administer medications according to the physician’s plan of care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with the family and interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional care
