About The Position

The pediatric psychiatrist is an embedded member of the multi-disciplinary primary care team. This position involves both direct clinical care, including outpatient psychiatry services, and Collaborative Care Management responsibilities. This position works closely with pediatricians, other healthcare providers, and behavioral health professionals to optimize patient outcomes. As a Pediatric Psychiatrist with Core Physicians, you'll be a vital part of an integrated healthcare team. You'll work closely with Primary Care, nursing, care managers, and behavioral health clinicians to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral care. This includes: Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients (ages 0-22) Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents with a variety of complex psychiatric conditions Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications Provide weekly Collaborative Care Management caseload consultation to behavioral health care managers Provide telephonic or electronic case consultation with primary care providers on patient care plans and treatment decisions, offering psychiatric expertise and guidance.

Requirements

  • Completed training at an accredited medical college/university with Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Board-certification, or board-eligibility, in pediatric psychiatry
  • Experience in Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) or liaison psychiatry
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
