About The Position

The Department of Pediatric Pulmonology is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) Interdisciplinary Care and Outreach Program. This multidisciplinary initiative aims to improve care for infants and children with BPD across North Carolina. The role is primarily focused on project management, ensuring smooth operation of program activities, timelines, communication channels, and collaboration among inpatient, outpatient, and multicenter settings. This is a 0.5 FTE position, working 20 hours per week. The Program Coordinator will coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings, manage program operations and timelines, facilitate communication among clinical teams and external partners, support outreach and educational activities, assist with the implementation of new program initiatives, and oversee the collection and reporting of program metrics. The position will also support the development and maintenance of the BPD patient registry, assist with regulatory and reporting requirements, coordinate patient tracking and follow-up workflows, and support grant-funded program activities. Additional responsibilities include website and educational resource development, preparation of program reports, stakeholder engagement, and other activities that advance the mission and growth of the UNC Children’s BPD Program.
