The University of Colorado, College of Nursing, is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for a full-time (0.80 FTE) benefitted position at CU Sheridan Health Services (SHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in southwest Denver, CO. This position will primarily provide integrated primary care in the pediatrics department with potential clinical coverage at one of our community partner practice sites. This position is clinic based as a health care provider and is hired at the level of Instructor / Senior Instructor / Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice (Open Rank) in the Clinical Practice Faculty Series within the College of Nursing. SHS is a nurse-managed FQHC, funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration Bureau of Primary Healthcare; and is a collaborative effort between the College of Nursing and the Sheridan School District. The clinic serves community health needs primarily for residents of Arapahoe, Denver, Adams, and Jefferson counties. Sheridan Health Services is located in southwest Denver on the Fort Logan campus and provides services to adults and children, 65% of whom identify as Latinx, and 42% of whom are best served in another language, with Spanish being the predominant second language. Services offered include primary care across the lifespan; perinatal, gynecology, dentistry, pharmacy, behavioral health, and outpatient substance use disorder treatment. Sheridan Health Services is a Patient-Centered Medical Home and upholds a model of care that places the patient at the center, incorporating the values and beliefs of the patient in all decision-making. We extend the reach of the clinic by providing services to our community partners in the Sheridan School District and Urban Peak.
