About The Position

BrightStar Care is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with pediatric experience to provide attentive, one-on-one care in Lompoc. The nurse will support a toddler’s health and daily care needs, including diaper changes, and communicate clearly with the client, family, and care team. This is an in-person role with shifts available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The employer is seeking someone able to commit long term to 2–3 shifts per week.

Requirements

• Current California LVN license in good standing.
• 6 months to 1 year of pediatric experience.
• Experience with range-of-motion exercises.
• Confidence with nebulizer, oxygen, feeding, diapering, and respiratory care.
• Proficiency in medication administration and management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliability and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and mobility support.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient progress and interventions.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
