About The Position
Affirmed Home Care is expanding its Pediatric Division and seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for an 11-year-old girl in Upper Saddle River, NJ. This is a consistent Monday–Friday opportunity for an LPN who enjoys working closely with pediatric patients and families and providing attentive, individualized care in both the home and school environment.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey LPN License in good standing
- Hands-on experience with G-tube feedings
- Experience caring for pediatric patients with respiratory complications
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong communication and clinical observation skills
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient-centered
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the family and clinical team
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Physical examination completed within the past 12 months
- PPD or QuantiFERON within the past year, or chest X-ray within the past 5 years
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved exemption
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience in home care, school nursing, acute care, or a similar clinical setting preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized 1:1 pediatric nursing care
- Accompany the child from home to school and provide nursing support throughout the school day
- Provide G-tube feedings and related care
- Monitor the child for changes in condition and report concerns appropriately
- Recognize and respond appropriately to respiratory complications
- Follow the established plan of care and physician orders
- Collaborate with the child’s family and Affirmed Home Care’s pediatric clinical team
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
- Communicate changes in the child’s child’s condition to the appropriate members of the care team
- Promote the child’s safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the school day
