LPN - Pediatric Nurse
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care’s Willow Grove Pediatric Office is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for pediatric care to join its Skilled Nursing team. The role provides one-to-one, private-duty nursing for pediatric clients in their homes in Glenside, Elkins Park, and Stenton, Philadelphia. Clients have complex, high-acuity needs, including respiratory support, tracheostomy and ventilator care, and tube feeding. Nurses can develop skills in hospital-level care in a home setting. Nurses travel to one nearby client per shift on a schedule they choose. Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours, with day and overnight shifts available. Nurses follow and document doctors’ orders, perform assessments, monitor client conditions, document observations and interventions, and report changes to the Clinical Manager and physician. The role offers autonomy in providing hands-on care and building relationships with clients and families.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, documented by school transcript or diploma.
- A current nursing license in good standing in the state.
Responsibilities
- Travel to one nearby client according to a chosen schedule.
- Follow, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
- Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
- Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
- Report changes in a client’s condition to the Clinical Manager and physician.
- Provide hands-on, one-to-one private-duty care in the home.
