About The Position
BayCare Medical Group is seeking a motivated Pediatric Hospitalist to play a pivotal role in launching and shaping a brand-new pediatric hospitalist program at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to build, innovate, and leave a lasting impact on pediatric inpatient care. As a founding physician, the Pediatric Hospitalists will help establish clinical workflows, influence program development, and contribute to a culture of excellence from day one. This role involves joining the founding team dedicated solely to Mease Countryside Hospital, an 8-bed general pediatric unit, and helping create a pediatric hospitalist service designed around quality, efficiency, and exceptional family-centered care. The practice encompasses the full scope of pediatric hospital medicine, including pediatric admissions and daily patient management, discharge planning and care coordination, pediatric emergency department consultations, and collaboration with specialists and multidisciplinary teams. The Pediatric Hospitalist will work closely with nursing, advanced practice providers, care management, and hospital leadership to develop best practices, enhance patient outcomes, and create an outstanding experience for patients and families. Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Successful completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency in Pediatrics
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
- PALS, NRP, BLS Certifications
