About The Position

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a motivated Pediatric Hospitalist to play a pivotal role in launching and shaping a brand-new pediatric hospitalist program at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to build, innovate, and leave a lasting impact on pediatric inpatient care. As a founding physician, the Pediatric Hospitalists will help establish clinical workflows, influence program development, and contribute to a culture of excellence from day one. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including admissions, daily patient management, discharge planning, care coordination, and consultations with the pediatric emergency department. The position requires collaboration with specialists and multidisciplinary teams to develop best practices, enhance patient outcomes, and create an outstanding experience for patients and families. Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Successful completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency in Pediatrics
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
PALS, NRP, BLS Certifications

Nice To Haves

Prior pediatric inpatient/hospitalist experience preferred
Pediatricians with pediatric hospital medicine experience who are energized by program development, collaboration, and leadership opportunities
