About The Position

Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalists Opportunities Available in Southeast Houston. This role involves working in a new pediatric unit with an 8-bed capacity that accepts direct admissions from community Pediatricians. Responsibilities include rounding with over-night home call for the Pediatric Unit and Nursery. The unit is supported by Pediatric Subspecialists in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, General Surgery, and Neurosurgery, with additional Pediatric Services including a Pediatric Emergency Room. The open nursery handles an average of 4000 deliveries per month with an average daily census of 20 newborns, covered daily by 2 PNPs. The role does not involve delivery attendance or circumcisions. A Level 3 NICU is in-house.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Active TX license or Active IMLC
• Minimum 1 year experience post residency
