About The Position
Seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Eureka, CA. This role involves supplemental coverage for a service setting that is outpatient. The coverage period is from June 25th and ongoing, with a need for call-only coverage during specific dates in June and July. The call schedule is 24 hours (6a-6a) with a response time of 20-30 minutes for beeper calls. Required procedures include intubation (ETT/NT) for newborns and pediatrics, UVC/UAC placement, needle pneumothorax, EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and chest tube insertion for neonates. Hospital privileges are required.
Requirements
- Active CA License
- BC/BE
- ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Active DEA
- Hospital Privileges required
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage from 6a-6a.
- Respond to beeper calls within 20-30 minutes.
- Perform procedures including intubation (ETT/NT) for newborns and pediatrics, UVC/UAC placement, needle pneumothorax, EKG interpretation, ventilator management, and chest tube insertion for neonates.
