About The Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Richland, WA. This inpatient role involves providing clinical coverage and call for a Level III PEDS facility. The coverage period is ASAP through December 31, 2026, with a need for 10-12 shifts per month. The schedule includes 12-hour clinical shifts (7a-7p) followed by evening beeper call (7p-7a). The average daily patient volume is 4, and the physician will be responsible for rounding and phone consults. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 3-4 RNs providing support. The EMR system used is Epic. Required procedures include intubation (ENT/INT), newborn care, and general pediatrics.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC) Required
• WA State License or IMLC
• DEA Required
• BLS Certification
• PALS Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage for 10-12 shifts per month.
• Manage patient care during 12-hour clinical shifts.
• Provide evening beeper call coverage following clinical shifts.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system.
