About The Position

Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA is seeking a Physician to join our pediatric hospitalist team. This position involves a 7 on / 7 off rotation with 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities include coverage for deliveries, including C-sections, for low-risk well infants 35 weeks and above. Sick infants will be transferred to a Level III NICU. Admissions will primarily come from community-based physicians and the ED. The role also involves receiving consults from other services on admitted patients.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
• Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
• Patient Care And Procedural Skills
• Professional Etiquette
• Systems-Based Practice

Responsibilities

• 7 on / 7 off 12-hour shifts
• Coverage for deliveries as needed to include coverage for C-sections.
• Care for low-risk deliveries of well infants 35 weeks and above.
• Admissions from community-based physicians and upon referral from ED
• Receive consults from other services on admitted patients
