About The Position

Seattle Children’s Hospital is hiring a Pediatric Hospitalist for its Olympia Regional Team. In this role, you are a full Seattle Children’s staff member stationed at a regional partner site to provide top-tier pediatric care to the South Sound community. This position is designed for physicians who want the prestige and backing of a top-ranked pediatric system while practicing in a high-acuity community setting. You are the "Seattle Children's expert on the ground," managing a diverse clinical load that spans from the delivery room to the inpatient ward.

Requirements

MD Degree.
Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children’s, and assigned medical center(s).
Licensed as a Physician in the State of Washington or State within WAMI region.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (Olympia, Skagit, St. Anne’s, Seattle Children’s NICU locations).
Federal DEA Registration.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire (only if required for special privileges).
Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pediatric emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

Manage pediatric floor patients using Seattle Children’s clinical pathways.
Provide specialized care for newborns >32 weeks.
Lead interventions including high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), continuous albuterol, and insulin drips.
Provide pediatric consultations in the ED and attend high-risk deliveries.
