Pediatric Hospitalist
About The Position
The Department of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and Albert Lea, Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible pediatrician/pediatric hospitalist to join a physician-led organization in a community practice. The scope of the inpatient pediatrician/pediatric hospitalist duties include: 9 shifts per month (1.0 FTE) Direct care of admitted pediatric patients within the hospital (approximately 75-100 pediatric admissions annually) Coverage of the Level 1 Nursery (approximately 650 births annually) Pediatric nurse phone triage available Epic EHR, connected across all Mayo Clinic sites Consultations with colleagues on pediatric patients from within the region (clinic or hospital-based) Precepting and direct teaching of students Participation in ongoing clinical quality and research opportunities Citizenship and advancement of the inpatient pediatrician/pediatric hospitalist practice.
Requirements
- Board certified/eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Minnesota
