About The Position

Axcess is a South Carolina home care provider serving children with special needs and disabilities. The Home Care LPN provides compassionate nursing care to a child in the home and supports parents or guardians during the visit. Care needs vary by child and may include medication administration, catheter care, tracheostomy care, wound care, ventilator care, assistance with activities of daily living, and accompanying parents to appointments and therapies. The role may also include light housekeeping and laundry to help the child and family.

The listed schedule is 8 a.m.–2 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Summerville. Axcess provides telephone assistance from 8 a.m. until midnight, seven days a week. The position includes paid training and weekly direct-deposit pay.

Requirements

• Hold an active LPN license to practice in South Carolina.
• Have at least one year of clinical experience.
• Maintain annual TB testing.
• Hold current CPR certification.
• Pass a SLED background check.
• Pass a drug test.
• Be physically able to provide care to a child with special needs.
• Have a valid driver's license and insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a child with special needs in the home.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Provide catheter, tracheostomy, wound, and ventilator care as needed.
• Assist the child with activities of daily living.
• Accompany parents to appointments and therapies as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
