About The Position

Children's Mercy is seeking physicians board certified/eligible in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) to join their team of 30 PEM Faculty. The division offers clinical care in urban and suburban EDs with 110,000 annual visits. They provide double coverage at night, along with support from nurse practitioners, child life specialists, social workers, pharmacists, and respiratory therapy. The facilities include all private exam and trauma rooms, bedside US, and in-suite radiology/CT with 24-hour pediatric radiology coverage. Requirements

• Board certified/eligible in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM).
• Commitment to excellence, integrity, collegiality, antiracism, and respect for inclusion of individuals with diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to be vaccinated for seasonal influenza.
• Willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005.
• Share values and enthusiasm for service.

Responsibilities
