About The Position

A respected health system is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-acuity emergency care to patients from neonates through adolescents. The physician will lead resuscitations, support families during stressful situations, and help strengthen the pediatric emergency program through quality, protocol, or simulation initiatives. The role reports to the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Medical Director and works with PEM physicians, advanced practice providers, pediatric-trained nurses, respiratory therapists, child life specialists, pediatric subspecialists, radiology, and inpatient teams. The department uses a modern EHR and evidence-based pediatric order sets. A dedicated clinical recruiter serves as the candidate’s point of contact through credentialing and onboarding.

  • Lead codes, trauma activations, and sepsis responses, maintaining sepsis-bundle and airway-management performance at or above department quality targets.
  • Perform procedural sedation, airway management, fracture reductions, lumbar punctures, and laceration repairs safely, with documented outcomes aligned with department standards.
  • Communicate clearly with caregivers in high-stress situations and contribute to improved patient-experience scores and fewer avoidable return visits.

  • Close charts within 24 hours and meet compliance and coding-accuracy expectations.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues and pediatric subspecialists, radiology, and inpatient teams on consults, admissions, and transfers.

Benefits

  • Compensation, scheduling, and professional development support negotiated on the physician’s behalf.
  • Confidential conversations throughout recruitment.
  • Ongoing career support after placement.
