About The Position

Join a great team where our residents and patients are at the heart of everything we do! Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian to join our clinical team at St. Margaret's Center, a 90-bed pediatric skilled nursing facility located in Albany, New York. Nutrition support and pediatric experience, preferred.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and CDN in New York State (RD-eligible candidates will be considered);
  • strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff; and
  • excellent interpersonal skills to make every day a better day for our residents.
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian

Nice To Haves

  • Nutrition support and pediatric experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • provide compassionate care to skilled nursing residents;
  • consistently meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
  • serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, working closely with nursing & medical staff and attending care conferences as assigned; and
  • support the food service operation as needed, including test trays, food service audits, and meal rounds.
