About The Position

Join a great team where our residents and patients are at the heart of everything we do! Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian to join our clinical team at St. Margaret's Center, a 90-bed pediatric skilled nursing facility located in Albany, New York. Nutrition support and pediatric experience, preferred.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian credentials and CDN in New York State (RD-eligible candidates will be considered);
strong verbal and written communication skills;
the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff; and
excellent interpersonal skills to make every day a better day for our residents.
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian

Nice To Haves

Nutrition support and pediatric experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

provide compassionate care to skilled nursing residents;
consistently meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, working closely with nursing & medical staff and attending care conferences as assigned; and
support the food service operation as needed, including test trays, food service audits, and meal rounds.
