About The Position

An established pediatric dental practice in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a Pediatric Dentist or an experienced General Dentist with a strong background in treating children. The practice serves a 100% pediatric patient base, with patients under age 18, and offers a supportive, collaborative, team-oriented environment. The role involves routine preventive care and restorative treatment; complex procedures are referred to specialists. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

DDS or DMD degree.
South Carolina dental license or eligibility for a South Carolina dental license.
Pediatric Dentist, or General Dentist with significant experience treating children.
Patient and compassionate approach to working with children and families.
Comfort treating anxious children.
Values teamwork and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide routine preventive dental care to pediatric patients.
Perform composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies, and limited extractions.
Create positive dental experiences for children and families, including patients with special healthcare needs or anxiety.
Refer complex procedures to specialists.
Work collaboratively with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
