About The Position

Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Homestead is seeking a Pediatric Dental Receptionist in Homestead, Florida. This role supports staff members and patients while providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The receptionist answers phones, handles patient inquiries, schedules appointments, and supports completion of patients’ treatment plans by arranging acceptable financial arrangements. The role also involves responding flexibly to requests and projects assigned by other staff or the Office Manager. Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills.
Experience answering telephones.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office.
Knowledge of insurance plans, including HMO and PPO.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival and dismissal.
Respond to patient questions and concerns according to DCA policies.
Answer telephones and check voicemail daily.
Schedule appointments, maintain the appointment book, and confirm appointments.
Follow up on missed or canceled appointments.
Register patients on the sign-in sheet.
Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Assist with patient treatment plans by arranging acceptable financial arrangements.
Handle requests and projects assigned by other staff members or the Office Manager.
