About The Position

A growing pediatric dental practice is seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Pediatric Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The role offers the opportunity to grow professionally as part of a supportive, collaborative team. The position is full-time, 38–40 hours per week, at locations in Pembroke Pines and Plantation. The schedule will be determined after the interview and hire. The employer hopes for an immediate start. Compensation is $18–$23 per hour, with bonus opportunities, uniforms, and a positive work environment.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience is required; candidates without prior dental experience will not be considered.
Able to work full-time, 38–40 hours per week.
Multitasking ability and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Orthodontic experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and arrange tools and instruments for scheduled procedures.
Hand tools and equipment to the dentist and assist during treatment.
Perform prophylaxis and administer fluoride treatments.
Record findings, change barriers, and sterilize equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
Ask patients about their medical history.
Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
Provide patients with instructions for oral care and dental treatment procedures.
Teach patients oral hygiene strategies, including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts.
Perform office management tasks using a personal computer.
Communicate with patients and suppliers, including scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing, and ordering supplies.
