Pediatric Dental Assistant
About The Position
Dental Associates of Connecticut Kids - Danbury is seeking a highly motivated Pediatric Dental Assistant to support its mission of providing quality dental and personal care in a relaxed, comfortable environment where patients feel welcomed, accepted, secure, and confident. The role calls for a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to multitask. The assistant helps patients and the doctor throughout appointments, supports clinical procedures, and maintains clean, stocked, and sterilized operatories and instruments. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Fridays as needed starting at 8 a.m.; and one Saturday per month, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Superior customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow.

- Ability to reliably commute to the office location in Danbury, CT.
- Availability to work Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Fridays as needed starting at 8 a.m.; and one Saturday per month, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- X-Ray and ICE Certification.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat patients.
- Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor.
- Set up trays according to the day's charts.
- Review schedules and anticipate the doctor's needs in advance.
- Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry.
- Enter treatment plans.
- Take X-rays as needed.
- Clean and disinfect the operatory after each patient.
- Take alginates and pour and trim models.
- Package and sterilize instruments.
- Keep the operatory fully stocked.
