About The Position

Dental Associates of Connecticut Kids - Danbury is seeking a highly motivated Pediatric Dental Assistant to help provide quality dental and personal care in a relaxed, comfortable environment. The role supports the practice’s mission of delivering a welcoming and confident patient experience. The successful candidate has a strong work ethic, works well as part of a team, and can multitask.

The position is based at the office in Danbury, Connecticut. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Fridays as needed, starting at 8 a.m.; and one Saturday per month, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The stated salary is $20–$25 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Superior customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to reliably commute to the office location in Danbury, Connecticut.
• Available to work Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Fridays as needed from 8 a.m.; and one Saturday per month, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nice To Haves

• Dental office experience.
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend software.
• X-ray and ICE certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the doctor.
• Set up trays according to the day’s charts.
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance.
• Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry.
• Enter treatment plans.
• Take X-rays as needed.
• Clean and disinfect the operatory after each patient.
• Take alginates and pour and trim models.
• Package and sterilize instruments.
• Keep the operatory fully stocked.
