About The Position

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking an energetic and motivated Dental Assistant to join its dental practice and help support patients’ oral health. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment alongside dentists and the dental team to provide patient care, assist with procedures, maintain treatment rooms and instruments, educate patients, and handle scheduling and records. Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, though training may be provided to the right candidate. The position requires EFDA certification and bilingual English and Spanish skills. State-specific credentials and X-ray training requirements may also apply. Requirements

EFDA certification.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Meet the applicable state requirements for dental assistant certification, CPR certification, X-ray training, permits, and other credentials, as specified for the relevant state.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education; the employer is willing to train the right candidate.
Proficiency in dental software and technology.

Responsibilities

Assist the dental team in providing patient care.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Support dentists during procedures by anticipating their needs and helping ensure a smooth workflow.
Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
