About The Position

Affirmed Home Care is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide one-on-one nursing care to a 13-year-old pediatric client in Newark, New Jersey. The client has Autism and seizure-related needs. Care is provided in a home setting and includes behavioral support, seizure management, medication administration, and compassionate hands-on care focused on the client's safety, comfort, and daily needs. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with shifts available from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Pay is $45 per hour for RNs and $40 per hour for LPNs. Nurses receive support from an experienced Pediatric Clinical Team and responsive clinical leadership, and may have the opportunity to grow with Affirmed Home Care's expanding Pediatric Division.

Requirements

Current New Jersey RN or LPN license.
Experience with seizure management and medication administration.
Current BLS certification.
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Dependable, patient, compassionate, and attentive.
Comfortable providing one-on-one care in a home environment.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Able to provide a physical examination completed within the past 12 months.
Able to provide a PPD or QuantiFERON completed within the past 12 months, or a chest X-ray within the past 5 years.
Proof of flu vaccination or an approved exemption.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric nursing experience.
Experience working with children with Autism or behavioral needs.
Valid driver's license.
