About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking a motivated engineer to join its team in Richardson, Texas, with a strong focus on Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO). The role manages Process Design Kit (PDK) changes and coordinates across product design, process integration, design rules, modeling, and CAD teams. The engineer will develop and run PDK verification and benchmarking processes, drive resolution of identified issues, plan and schedule PDK releases and development timelines, and handle cross-functional PDK change requests.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Proven experience and solid understanding of semiconductor technology, semiconductor device physics, compact modeling, design rules, CAD, and CAD tools.
• Self-motivated, with excellent teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with wide-ranging demands.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
• Proficiency using AI in daily work.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Semiconductor-industry experience in a Design-Technology Co-Optimization role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage PDK changes in collaboration with product design, process integration, design rules, modeling, and CAD teams.
• Develop and run processes for PDK verification and benchmarking.
• Drive issues identified during verification or benchmarking to resolution, engaging the necessary stakeholders.
• Plan and schedule PDK releases and development timelines.
• Handle and disposition ongoing cross-functional PDK change requests.
