About The Position

The PDC Team Co-ordinator role is an opportunity to support Boots Healthcare Logistics in delivering care to people in the community. Based at a Boots Healthcare Logistics Hub, the postholder supervises Healthcare Logistics Drivers, helps ensure the team operates effectively, and supports delivery of area targets. The role includes cross-regional travel to satellite locations and stores. The successful candidate must hold a full, valid UK driver’s licence and be able to commit to the advertised hours on a permanent basis. A variety of shift patterns throughout the week may be required.

Requirements

• At least one year of driving experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to plan effective driving routes so drivers can meet their targets.
• Comfort using computers and new technology.
• Ability to build relationships with managers, team members, and external partners.
• Comfort working independently or alongside a Healthcare Logistics Manager.
• Calmness when facing challenges and ability to find solutions to problems.
• Ability to engage and motivate a team.
• Full, valid UK driver’s licence.
• Availability to work a variety of shift patterns throughout the week and commitment to the advertised hours on a permanent basis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in data analysis and budget management.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Healthcare Logistics Drivers in their daily work and act as a contact for managers and drivers.
• Act as a secondary contact for customer service issues or incidents.
• Manage workflow and supervise employees’ daily tasks.
• Cover for drivers or the Healthcare Logistics Manager when needed.
• Work with the Healthcare Logistics Manager to deliver targets for the area.
• Ensure the vehicle fleet complies with legislation and regulations, and that employees follow policies, operating procedures, and health and safety protocols.
• Organise team schedules, authorise annual leave, and ensure staffing is appropriately arranged.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders using a provided phone.
• Represent Boots Healthcare Logistics as an ambassador.
• Travel across regions to visit satellite locations and stores.
