PCS Scrubber Engineer

Samsung Electronics•Austin, TX
•$95,000 - $120,000•Onsite

About The Position

The PCS Scrubber Engineer operates and maintains equipment that mitigates contamination and controls chemical and particle abatement within a semiconductor fabrication facility. The role bridges engineering, process control, and quality assurance to help ensure cleanrooms meet stringent contamination specifications while minimizing downtime and operating costs. The engineer develops abatement solutions and equipment specifications, performs risk and failure-mode analyses, and reviews design drawings and related documentation. The role coordinates equipment installation and commissioning, including calibrations and performance qualification. It also monitors equipment metrics, drives continuous improvement, develops standard operating procedures, and supports preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. The position ensures equipment meets site regulations and quality expectations, supports audit traceability, and serves as a technical liaison among fab engineers, maintenance teams, and suppliers. It may lead cross-functional equipment projects and develop cost models, track spending, and forecast capital needs. All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor are full-time and on-site.
