PCBA Soldering Technician
About The Position
Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCBA Soldering Technician to work on a team producing a variety of printed circuit board assemblies. The role involves hand soldering surface-mount and through-hole components on low-, medium-, and high-density printed circuit boards, including work under a microscope and rework of electronic packages. The technician works toward day-to-day objectives, independently under limited supervision and collaboratively with cross-functional, project, and production teams. Candidates must reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate. This posting covers multiple opportunities and experience levels; level and compensation will be matched to the candidate’s experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Less than 2–4 years of prior relevant work experience.
- Experience soldering under a microscope.
- Ability to solder surface-mount and through-hole components.
- Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, a Secret clearance.
- Must reside in the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate there.
Nice To Haves
- Current or prior IPC-A-610 certification.
- Current or prior J-STD-001 certification.
Responsibilities
