About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a PCBA Conformal Coating Technician to apply conformal coating to printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for military and space applications. The position involves operating automatic conformal coating dispense equipment and preparing and inspecting assemblies before and after coating. The technician works toward day-to-day objectives with significant impact on work output and collaborates with functional, project, and production teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of prior relevant work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess and be able to maintain a Final Secret Clearance, or meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using mag lights and microscopes to view PCBAs.
• Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic conformal coating dispense equipment to apply coating to low-, medium-, and high-density printed circuit board assemblies.
• Mask PCBAs before conformal coating and remove masking after coating.
• Inspect PCBAs under UV light after conformal coating is applied.
• Inspect completed PCBAs using a mag-light and/or a microscope with black light.
• Work toward day-to-day objectives and contribute to work output.
• Work in a team environment and interact with different functions, project teams, and production teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
