About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a PCBA Conformal Coating Technician to apply conformal coating to printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for military and space applications. The role involves operating automatic conformal-coating dispense equipment and working with low-, medium-, and high-density PCBAs. The technician works toward day-to-day objectives, contributes to work output, and collaborates with team members, project teams, and production teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of prior relevant work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess and be able to maintain a Final Secret Clearance, or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using mag lights and microscopes to view PCBAs.
• Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic conformal-coating dispense equipment to apply coating to low-, medium-, and high-density printed circuit board assemblies.
• Mask PCBAs before conformal coating and remove masking after coating.
• Inspect PCBAs under UV light after conformal coating is applied.
• Inspect completed PCBAs using a mag-light and/or microscope with black light.
• Work toward day-to-day objectives and contribute to work output.
• Work in a team environment and interact with different functions, project teams, and production teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
