About The Position

This role involves providing technical support for PC technicians, including installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and evaluations of desktop equipment. The technician will be responsible for deploying and installing PCs, thin client terminals, and printers. A key aspect of the role includes building and deploying images using imaging software and possessing knowledge of various hardware and software configurations, networking, and cabling infrastructures. The position requires adherence to systems security and control procedures. Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and customer service skills are essential for effective collaboration and problem-solving under pressure.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
• 2 + years of experience with desktop equipment, performing installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and evaluations.
• Experience in deploying and installing PCs, thin client terminals, and printers (network and local).
• Experience in building and deploying an image utilizing Symantec/Norton Ghost or other imaging software applications.
• Knowledge of PCs, terminals, and printer hardware and software configurations, Microsoft Networking, Novell Networking, and cabling infrastructures.
• Ability to understand and adhere to systems security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards, and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent communication and organization skills; demonstrates confidence and creativity.
• Ability to multitask and to work under pressure and short timelines.
• Able to interact effectively across organizations/ diverse cultures, and communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
• Excellent planning, organizing, coordination, presentation, and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
