About The Position

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and over two years of experience with desktop equipment, including installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and evaluations. The technician will be responsible for deploying and installing PCs, thin client terminals, and printers. Experience with imaging software like Symantec/Norton Ghost is necessary, along with knowledge of PC, terminal, and printer hardware/software configurations, Microsoft and Novell Networking, and cabling infrastructures. The position also demands adherence to security and control procedures, excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure and interact effectively across diverse groups.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
2 + years of experience with desktop equipment, performing installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and evaluations.
Experience in deploying and installing PCs, thin client terminals, and printers (network and local).
Experience in building and deploying an image utilizing Symantec/Norton Ghost or other imaging software applications.
Knowledge of PCs, terminals, and printer hardware and software configurations, Microsoft Networking, Novell Networking, and cabling infrastructures.
Ability to understand and adhere to systems security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards, and regulatory bodies.
Must have excellent communication and organization skills; demonstrates confidence and creativity.
Ability to multitask and to work under pressure and short timelines.
Able to interact effectively across organizations/ diverse cultures, and communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
Excellent planning, organizing, coordination, presentation, and time management skills.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels within the organization.
