About The Position

Yellowstone Landscape is seeking an experienced Payroll Technician to join their team. This role requires a strong background in payroll, California employment law administration, time & attendance analysis, exceptional organizational skills, and a high level of professionalism. The technician will be responsible for accurately maintaining, monitoring, and processing all payroll-related documentation for weekly payroll processing for over 200 employees. This includes ensuring the accuracy of timecards, administering and entering absences, reviewing for missed meals, preparing and submitting certified payroll documentation, requesting manual and termination checks, researching and responding to payroll inquiries, maintaining payroll records and reports, and assisting with new hire orientations. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of verifiable Payroll processing experience
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with UKG, ADP, Aspire or another well-known software
  • Strong understanding of Meal & Rest Breaks for California
  • Strong understanding of California and Federal leave laws
  • Strong understanding of State of California and Federal Wage & Hour Laws
  • Strong in math and analytical skills
  • Highly skilled in computer systems
  • Proven ability to consistently produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unplanned tasks
  • Strong work ethic, time-management skills, and a proactive approach
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding organization and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated and driven to meet goals and deadlines
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Experience with Certified Payroll a plus
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

  • Accurately maintain, monitor, and process all payroll related documentation for weekly payroll processing for 200+ employees.
