About The Position

This part-time position involves preparing, processing, and reconciling biweekly payrolls for both exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. The role includes preparing initial payroll data, reviewing timekeeping records for data integrity, and communicating with managers and supervisors. The Payroll Specialist will also handle payroll inquiries, assist with reporting, and help optimize Centrus’s payroll processes for efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Basic understanding of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, and tax principles.
  • Intermediate Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance (if located in Oak Ridge).
