About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team. The Payroll Specialist will play an important role as a member of our payroll team. This team is responsible for maintaining payroll systems, processing paychecks, and communicating with management and employees. Further, this role will develop and apply a wealth of specialized knowledge to administer and reconcile benefits.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Accuracy and attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers and quantitative reasoning
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
• Sound decision-making skills and maturity
• Must maintain confidentiality, professionalism and respect for the privacy of employee records
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Must be able to work as a team player, take direction from manager and work independently on self-directed projects

Responsibilities

• Verify time and attendance information and contribute to payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal and state laws
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee records
• Calculate multiple multi-state payrolls, taxes, deductions, and ensure supporting records are up to date
• Audit employee changes and time off activity
• Investigate questions and resolve discrepancies when necessary
• Administer benefit setup in the ADP system including open enrollment, work- and life- events
• Reconcile benefit invoices and associated payroll deductions
