About The Position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now and Viewpoint. This position reviews employee timecards, enters payroll data into multiple systems, verifies payroll accuracy, and ensures compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. The Payroll Specialist also supports payroll reporting, including Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) reporting, while providing excellent customer service to employees and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong experience in certified payroll, prevailing wage, and multi-state payroll.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or Viewpoint Vista strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Construction payroll experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review employee timecards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Audit time entries to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
  • Enter payroll information into ADP Workforce Now, including hours, earnings, allowances, and other payroll transactions.
  • Assist with weekly payroll processing while ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations to ensure payroll information is accurate and complete.
