About The Position

The Payroll Processor / Accounting Clerk works under the supervision of the CFO. This position prepares payroll and administers payment, and also performs accounts payable and other general accounting duties as assigned by the CFO. The role provides accounting and clerical assistance to the finance department and supports reporting and month-end close activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

• Previous accounting and payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare payroll, taxes, and benefits.
• Administer payment of payroll, taxes, and benefits as required.
• Address payroll issues and questions from employees and supervisors.
• Prepare reports for upper management and the finance department.
• Stay up-to-date on payroll and tax regulations.
• Provide accounting and clerical assistance to the finance department as directed by the CFO.
• Accurately prepare and maintain accounting and payroll records.
• Prepare general ledger postings as directed.
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
• Provide daily productivity reporting to leadership.
• Assist the CFO with cost reporting duties.
• Print and distribute departmental trend reports.
• Provide backup for Accounts Payable.
• Assist the CFO with tasks during each month-end close.
