Requirements

  • Minimum one year of hotel or hospitality finance/accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of hotel financial statements and account reconciliation processes
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, including management, coworkers, and the public

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies
  • Maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee status changes, compensation updates, and payroll-related matters
  • Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and general ledger postings
  • Support month-end close by reconciling payroll expenses, liabilities, and benefit accounts
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll and related accounts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and account maintenance
  • Monitor A/R aging and perform collection efforts in accordance with company standards
  • Ensure timely processing of credit card transactions and cash deposits
  • Support revenue accuracy and cash flow management initiatives
  • Support intercompany billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing between entities
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve discrepancies in coordination with corporate or related entities
  • Assist the Director of Finance with periodic balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review problem accounts, investigate variances, and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed
