About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a mid‑market organization in the DMV area to identify a Payroll Manager for a hybrid role. This position supports a stable payroll environment and works closely with Accounting and HR leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll experience
• Experience with payroll systems outside of Workday (construction or mid‑market ERP a plus)
• Knowledge of multi‑state payroll and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days on‑site)

Responsibilities

• Manage bi‑weekly payroll processing for a mid‑sized employee population
• Oversee payroll compliance, reconciliations, and reporting
• Serve as the primary payroll contact for employee inquiries
• Partner with Accounting on payroll entries and month‑end close
• Support benefits administration and timekeeping processes
• Maintain payroll systems and vendor relationships
